Serving architecture and design with representation

It all started with an interest in artistic representation of architecture. During my university years as an architectural artist student, I ended up doing two separate fields of activities, architectural visualization, and web design- and development. 2016 I started my own business providing these services – primarily for architectural and design offices of small to medium sizes. Finding a connection between arch-viz and web development may not be self-explanatory. Both visualization, and web development are about giving life to designs, whether it's a layout plan, or a UX/UI design. In such a way, both a visualizer, and a web developer is an end-role in a creative production process, whether the final product is an image, or a website.

On this blog I'll publish case studies, ideas, and insights into my workflow, that help me succeed architectural visualisation and web design- and development projects. Knowing myself I couldn't keep up posting if I'd stick to a rigid content plan, so my posts may be only loosely related, and represent what currently interests me. At the same time, I hope you'll find the ones that may bring value to your business or workflow, such as I've learnt so much from reading blogs and ideas of people with similar interest too.

Discussing hardware and software aspects of arch-viz

Architectural visualization is a creative field, where hardware and software go hand in hand. Still, after at least 30 years of continuous development and research, in arch-viz, hardware is still a major limit to what you can achieve within a given time. The limit can be pushed farther by experience and expertise, apart from buying new hardware. On this blog I’ll share some of the key, lesser-known insights primarily on hardware, and software I came across over the more than ten years I’ve spent within the field, which I hope may bring as much value to your decisions or workflow as it brings to mine. I’ll primarily focus on technical, and ’learnable’ aspects of architectural visualization, I so much like to discuss and talk about.

Sharing front-end, and Perch CMS development tools and techniques

Custom web development of websites, webportals and webshops is becoming a speciality these days, with so much alternatives for small to medium businesses to create their websites, from online services with excellent UX, to a shear amount of WordPress themes. However, there's always room for state of the art custom website UIs, and bespoke web solutions, driven by business objectives. Also personal forces to create something unique, and stand out on the web will stay with us. On this blog, I'll also write about front-end development tools and techniques, as well as Perch CMS that I use as a development tool to deliver highly custom web solutions to my clients.
